Most race and high performance cars benefit from improved exhaust systems. Horsepower and torque can often be increased by changing the configuration and diameter to suit engine flow characteristics. Vehicle weight can often be reduced significantly by replacing exhaust components. Most performance exhaust systems are made of stainless steel or titanium. Custom configurations are often necessary for modified or custom chassis’ such as tube frame chassis race cars, tubbed drag cars or lowered street cars.

Custom exhaust and turbo manifolds can increase exhaust flow and turbo performance. Fabrication of these components must be done with the correct materials and welding procedures to endure severe temperatures. On turbo applications waste-gate size and positioning is critical.


Upgraded intake manifolds can often increase the performance of an engine in collaboration with other engine modifications. Changes in runner length, diameter and throttle body size can increase horsepower and torque. Custom intake manifolds are usually fabricated from aluminum to better dissipate heat and reduce weight.
